Graduate Assistantship in Applied Seismic Methods

A Ph.D. or M.Sc. assistantship in applied seismic methods is available at the Department of Geological Sciences, University of Saskatchewan, Canada. We are looking for a motivated student to work on processing, imaging, numerical simulations, and interpretation of several kinds of seismic data acquired as part of Aquistore CO2 monitoring and verification project

We are particularly interested in persons with background and interest in the following areas:

Working on these subjects, you will have the learn and contribute to a variety of cutting-edge research methods: seismic and well-log data analysis, inversion, laboratory and theoretical rock physics, unique methods for attenuation and impedance inversion, machine learning, and software development.
