Limitations of recursive inversion

• The first problem is that the effects of the seismic wavelet are not fully removed.

• The second problem is that we arbitrarily add in the low frequency component.

• A third problem is that “stacked” section does not represent the true reflectivity model, and thus the inversion is not a true P-impedance.

• Let us address the first two issues.
